About Windsor
Windsor is the heart of the region: a city of about 230,000 people facing the Detroit skyline across the river. Known as the City of Roses and the Automotive Capital of Canada, it offers big-city amenities, homes that typically cost less than in the Toronto area, and the warmest climate of any Ontario city.
Living here
Neighbourhoods range from the historic homes and craft breweries of Walkerville, to the established streets of Riverside along the water, to the family subdivisions of South Windsor. Downtown and Little Italy on Erie Street bring restaurants, festivals and nightlife. The University of Windsor and St. Clair College keep the city young, and the Ambassador Bridge and Detroit–Windsor Tunnel put Michigan minutes away.
