About Lakeshore

Lakeshore is the largest and most populous municipality in Essex County, with about 40,000 residents along the south shore of Lake St. Clair. It grew more than 10% from 2016 to 2021 and combines lakeside towns with wide-open farmland.

Living here

Belle River is the main hub, with a lively main street, marina and beaches; it even calls itself the jet ski capital of Canada. Emeryville and Puce offer waterfront and newer family homes, while Comber, Woodslee and Stoney Point give a quieter, rural pace. Many residents commute to Windsor, and the Atlas Tube Centre is the community’s recreation hub.
